Operations manager
Function
As Operations Manager, you will be in charge of the management of the site operations, supplies and logistics function of our client, including the labour and resource required, ensuring effective cost control and working within agreed timescales to achieve the effective installation of temporary building projects.
You will oversee and ensure that all logistics and supply procurement requirements are provided efficiently. You will ensure the effective rotation of fleet available, maximize fleet utilization, be full awareness of stock availability and review and manage security, maintenance and legislative compliance of the companies fixed assets.
You will ensure that the refurbishment and fitting out of buildings will be to the standard required. Costs will be also within established parameters.
You work with the Commercial Department to ensure that buildings selected are appropriate for the used required.
You are in this position to propose a service to your client not only a product. Your knowledge of electricity, HVAC, piping or Building Energy Performance is an asset in order to propose the best solution.
You will manage a team of 15/20 workers who work in a workshop for the refurbishment and on site for installation of the temporary building.
You will manage the paid timesheets, administration of materials and stock control process. You will maintain an accurate method of tracking the work program and complete accurate paperwork for all buildings.
Requirements
You ideally have an engineering degree (electromecanical engineering, construction,…).
You have at least 10 years of experience in a similar position.
You speak fluently Dutch and French, the knowledge of English is a plus.
You are experimented in team management (around 15 to 20 workers/employees) and you know that going to the field in order to meet your team is important.
You are pragmatic, stress resistant. You go straight to the point when necessary.
You have some knowledge in Building Energy Performance, plumbing, heating, electricity,…
